Really? I'm a little surprised actually. After an abortive attempt at Twitter, I recently plugged in again, adding a bevvy of my favorite celebrities, Leonard Nimoy above them. He recently began putting LLAP in his tweets ("Live Long and Prosper"), a nod to his most famous role, Mr. Spock of Star Trek. Which doesn't sound like he's left the role behind exactly. And what of William Bell of Fringe? Maybe his last appearance on the show will be a big death scene? I understand if he's tired, and just doesn't want to do it all anymore. But I hope that William Shatner doesn't follow his lead.

Mr. Spock has Retired.
It looks like Leonard Nimoy’s acting career has finally passed the final frontier, as the 79-year-old actor has told the Toronto Sun that he’ll be retiring from acting, including his roles as Really Old Spock in Star Trek and William Bell in Fringe. In fact, he says that he was only supposed to do a couple episodes of Fringe as a favor to J.J. Abrams anyway. . .
