Rick Santorum Wins All Three Meaningless Contests!

Oh, GOP. What has become of you? Your front-runner can't get up to speed. Your also-ran is thoroughly unlikeable (as is the front runner). You've got a crazy old man with a rabid (but small) following. And you've got a church fart who couldn't win the general election if Barack Obama came out as a gay, vegan atheist. Really, GOP? Rick (don't Google me) Santorum? Thrice??? And for the comedy kicker, none of the contests is even binding! Seriously, WTF?

  1. I would make a bet that Santorum would beat Obama in the general election, especially if the economy is still bad and unemployment is high. It's the economy, stupid, as Clinton would say.

Also, thanks for the tip of using Firefox- makes a big difference.

  2. Oh, no, I don't think so, Dan! I think Romney would be competition, I think Newt would need perfect circumstances, and I think Ron Paul would be a disaster. But not as big a disaster as Rick Santorum. His views are so, so extreme. He's got that little Google problem. He IS the only remotely tea party-ish candidate. I find it HILARIOUS that Newt is carrying that flag now, insider politician that he is. Anyway, this is all very entertaining.

If the economy contiunes on its current upward trend, or stays flat--or even goes down a little bit--I'm betting on Obama. If it dives, I don't know.
