Karl Rove Working on "Bush Legacy Project"
Photo from lowculture.com
For a long while there, we liberals stared in wide-eyed amazement--and horror--at what Karl Rove was able to accomplish. He twisted reality, and created an alternate one. One that the media, and a huge chunk of the public seemed to be believing. Don't believe your lying eyes, Rove seemed to say, here's what really happened.
Many of us turned to blogging our frustrations, pointing out the very plain reality that wasn't getting through. I was admittedly late to the game, starting this blog after Rove's powers had already started to wane. He failed rather spectacularly in 2006, when his dream of a "permanent Republican majority" started to die. But his alternate reality still held some sway.
Now that Barack Obama has been elected, Rove's super-villain status is on par with one of the 60s Batman series' rogues gallery. Kinda like The Penguin without the umbrellas. Nonetheless, Rove is gathering henchmen like Karen Hughes, for one last stab at reality distortion. Let's not let him get away with it.
