In a never-ending quest to separate people's money from them as quickly (and with as little resistance) as possible, Las Vegas' McCarran Airport may be opening a liquor store! I'm not opposed to the idea, I don't guess. Folks are gonna get drunk while they're here, and sometimes what happens here won't stay here. Well, except for their money.
Last week, President Obama got in some hot water for saying that you shouldn't spend money you don't have budgeted in Las Vegas. He wasn't wrong. But Vegas officials were mightily pissed that he said something true about something we already know: our town survives partly on prying every last dollar from some people, whether they can afford it or not.
