Once again with help from friend and contributor Stupid Monkey Planet, my attention is drawn to this story about John McCain's back story. It doesn't quite fit with the narrative they're drawing up for him, but it certainly does have a certain GOP familiarity about it. Newt Gingrich, anyone?
