Hawaii: Barack Obama's Birth Certificate Genuine

Will this shut up the tinfoil hatters? Uh, somehow, I doubt it. And for anyone out there who still thinks this birth certificate is a fake, check out FactCheck.org's extensive debunking of this nutty conspiracy theory, complete with a birth announcement in a Hawaii newspaper from 1961.

[Excerpt]

Obama’s Hawaii birth certificate confirmed

The director of Hawaii’s Department of Health confirmed on Friday what Barack Obama has been saying all along: the presidential candidate was born in Honolulu.

“There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama’s official birth certificate,” said Chiyome Fukino. “State law prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record. . .”

  1. My god, you would think that by now some of the dimwits would have been informed.

The thing you are showing is the short form. It has nothing whatsovever to do with the actual birth hospital registered birth certificate that everyone wants to glean.

Obama's sister, who was born in Indonesia has one of the things like the one above from Hawaii too. Some people register the birth of their children weeks after the event. But the hospital registration is the true legal document. SHOW IT!

  2. The Kenyan authorities are saying that they are putting a seal on Obama's documents in Kenya as well. Perhaps Obama was born in three hospitals. One that Obama says he was born in. The second in which his sister says he was born in. And the third, the hospital in Kenya that his grandmother says he was born in.

Well, why not? He is 'The One, after all.

  3. Are you two retarded? The "short form" is the one released by the hospital when you ask for it. It is legal for obtaining a passport and all other uses. He's had a passport, and has been a State and U.S. Senator. He is a CITIZEN, and you are tilting at windmills.

Besides, you nutbars, he was born to a US Citizen. Do you really think he's going to be disqualified on a technicality?

  4. Also, the timeline for a foreign birth doesn't fit if you check the dates at the link I povided you at FactCheck.org. His birth announcement in Hawaii--provided by the hospital--appeared 6 days after his birth in 1961. To buy your stupid theory, I'd have to believe his Mother was starting a cover-up for him in 1961 so he could be president later! Idiots!

  5. Why won't Obama release the long-form certificate? ---Until 1972, a person over the age of one could obtain a birth certificate in Hawaii based upon a mother's affidavit that he was born at home. In view of the allegations of the Kenyan birth... it's important that Obama release the long form certificate with hospital and information. BTW, birth announcements are put in the paper by the family (not the hospital)... and, many people announced births... Obama's grandparents were socialists (they went to the "little red schoolhouse" and very smart... they no doubt wanted to make sure that their grandchild had american citizenship.... to settle all the confusion Obama could release his long form birth certificate... HE REFUSES! WHY?

  6. Actually, no. The birth announcements (if you follow the links at FactCheck.org) were NOT put in the paper by the family, they were put in the vital statistics by the hospital. 'Nuff said.

And who cares about the long form? What difference does it make? He has a valid birth certificate and was born here. Maybe the long form says his parents weren't married or something, and he doesn't feel like sharing that. It does not affect his citizenship. You're just being nosy now.

  7. The link below gives an image of a real Hawaiian birth certificate from 1961. There are some differences. One of them is fake. You guess which one.

  8. Okay, anonymous, explain for me WHY the "long form" is required, when the short form already provided is what Hawaii issues for all purposes? It's what you get TODAY if you want a passport, or for whatever other reason. The request for a "long form" is to prove WHAT?
