With all of the--admittedly fun--joking about the ignorance of Sarah Palin, what is getting a little lost is her venom. Palin may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, or even be in the drawer at all, but a dull knife can sometimes cause the worst cuts.
I don't really believe that Palin will be the savior for the Republican party in 2012. Unless she decides to somehow fill Ted Stevens' Senate seat, she isn't likely to gain much credibility up in Alaska. And she'll have an uphill climb to get over her reputation as an ignorant, mean, clothes horse. And that's good. We need to be wary of any candidate that stirs up the paranoid cranks out there.
