I suppose it is a truism for both parties. Whichever one is out of power will blast the other. And while "undermining the President in a time of war" is a shameful no-no during one administration, the next time it's A-OK. Same thing with giving a President's pick for a judge an "up-or-down" vote. Along those lines, outgoing administrations usually eschew criticising the incoming one. Not this time. Dick Cheney has been making the rounds, saying that President Barack Obama is making us "less safe." Fortunately, Obama does not shy away from such attacks.
