There are no major voices out there who are saying that former Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.) stands much of a chance of prevailing in his drawn out Senatorial fight. Every thing I've heard or read on the issue says--at best--that his chances are "slim."
It would seem that this protracted battle is for purposes other than Coleman reclaiming his Senate seat. It's merely an effort to delay Al Franken from claiming that seat, and giving the Senate a 59-seat Democratic majority. Now if things were going swimmingly in the country, and the only issue was hurting a placeholder President's agenda, well, that's politics. But at a time where obstructionism could well be actually hurting the country, it's. . .well. . .kinda making Coleman look like a douche nozzle. Yes, he's progressed up the hose from the bag.
