As I said before, I've had a lazy Sunday. Unfortunately, "cold blogging"--trying to dive into posting things after a down day--is difficult work. Especially when the news (mostly about the economy) is so far out of my grasp.
So, how 'bout something silly and frivolous? So let's take a blast to the past, this time with shampoo commercials from the seventies and eighties. Get yourself squeaky clean, old school style!
#1 - Prell - One of my step mothers always used to use Prell, the very green shampoo. And this 1972 commercial is relevent today, with the husband trying to get his wife to save money by not wasting shampoo. Ummm, OK. . .
#2 - Head & Shoulders - From a long line of "what will people think?"-type commercials, Head & Shoulders tried to get people to worry about dandruff. To score with a golf instructor, apparently.
#3 - Faberge - And they told two friends, and so on, and so on. . .
#4 - Body on Tap - Yes, there was once a beer-based shampoo. But don't drink it! Couldn't find a commercial with that phrase, but it used to be the tag line, believe it or not.
