Don't Ask, Don't Tell, Don't Count on it.

Further adding to Democrats' dissatisfaction with the state of our politics, it now looks like the military's "Dn't Ask, Don't Tell" policy will not be repealed any time soon.  For all the talk of Democrats "ramming" their agenda through, they sure missed on this one, didn't they? Repeal of DADT has a high approval rating, even among Republicans.  While I'm more concerned with the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA)--equally unlikely to be repealed now--this still thoroughly sucks.

  1. Sofa, I'd love for you to explain your position on this. As of now, the only gay people who are allowed in the military are those who either lie about it to themselves, or to everybody else. So, those gay people--SECRET gay people--are already there, showering and sleeping right up against those sexy, sexy menz.

    Wouldn't a homophobic soldier who has fear/hatred for gay people rather KNOW who they are? Wouldn't getting rid of DADT make it EASIER to avoid them dreaded gays? Please explain.
