Stop the looting.

And the punishment must come closer to the event; to correct the harm that was done, and as an example to others.
I am now a hope-le-phobe: May there be thousands of prosecutions near term for violations of election laws, money laundering, bribery, and Treason (deliberate action against the Constitution in legislature, executive, and courts). Much jail, and collection of ill-gotten-wealth, back into the general fund. And the remedy for Treason is specified in the Constitution itself.
Vigorous proesecution is the only way to drive the criminals out of government. Restore the rule of law- Or live without the rule of law (as we are now, where the government thinks it is above the law). Without the rule of law quickly devolves into a 3rd world 'each man for himself', as we are seeing.
Let's push for vigorous prosecution of our officials. It's a vital first step toward avoiding utter collapse.

If all Sofa were doing in his post was stating that he's in favor of prosecuting lawbreakers, then I would agree with him.
ReplyDeleteBut, as is usual, it appears he just can't bring himself to stop at being...reasonable. He can't seem to limit himself to lobbying for the prosecution of just actual criminals. He has to include, among those worthy of being tried, anyone not in complete agreement with the views he holds. Sad.
Also, corruption in politics is not a new thing, or a party-specific thing. In Sofa's writings, it seems as though all of the sudden a cabal of communist/socialist/fascist conspirators has seized control of the reins of power, and we're all blind to it. . .but Sofa will show us the way!
