Is Sarah Palin a GOP Rain Maker or Poison Pill?

For all the talk of Sarah Palin's endorsements in the 2010 election, there are Republicans who are of a different opinion. It could be strongly argued that the Tea Party prevented the GOP from taking the Senate. But could Palin have been partially responsible for that?
