Occasionally, they'll be blunt and upfront about that. But usually, they make up shit like the Christmas excuse. It's getting damned annoying hearing all the bloviation when we all know what they're up to. And I find my self once again feeling proud of my usually milque-toasty Senator, Harry Reid.

Harry Reid to Conservatives: There's No Whining in the Senate!
The line today about why the Senate can't get anything done before the end of the year is that it would be disrespectful to Christians. You heard that right. Apparently December 15-24 and 26-31 are sacred, right along with Christmas and John Boner Boehner's holy day, New Year's Eve. The real reason of course is that if the lame duck Senate manages to pass anything on the agenda, it might have the side effect of making President Obama look good. And you know they can't have that.

Please, who is the biggest whiner in the senate? Harry Reid.
ReplyDeleteHe holds a news conference about whining and he is the biggest whiner.
And welcome back to Vegas. Hope you had a nice trip to Ohio. Are you the one to blame for the colder weather? Bringing it back from Ohio?
Hey, love him, hate him or merely tolerate him, you've got to give Harry a little bit of credit. He's getting some stuff done, and he is standing up for his side. Not YOUR side, I'm aware, but it's nice to see a little backbone.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the welcome back. I didn't bring a tenth of the weather back though. The wind chill was -1 when I left! Didn't bring back the stomach flu either, thank goodness. I spread it around in Ohio, then left it there.
