I've always suspected that those who believe Fox News Is "fair and balanced." Are themselves fairly unbalanced.
ReplyDeleteFox is probably more balanced than CNN,ABC,CBS,NBC,ABC,MSNBC and of course NPR where they admit their biases.
ReplyDeleteIt would be more balanced if liberals were not so afraid to go on Fox.
But truth be told, I don't watch them much anymore- it's gets boring after awhile.
I disagree, Dan. I know that conservatives claim a liberal bias on every news source that isn't FOX, but that's kind of like claiming that your kid is the only one marching in step.
ReplyDeleteTime and again, things have leaked out showing that FOX puts out their own bullet points, their own skew to how to frame things. It's more than just bias, it's propaganda. They were branding "FNC Tea Parties" for goodness' sake.
However liberal MSNBC and the rest are, never forget that they're almost all owned by huge multinational corporations, headed by conservatives. I also have never heard of a "company line" be handed down at other networks for proper framing.
I really believe that some conservatives see a liberal bias in ANYTHING that doesn't have an overt CONSERVATIVE bias. Just like cold is the absense of heat, they think the absense of a right-wing slant equals a left-wing one.
Nobody can be 100% objective. But there is no left-wing counterpart that compares--not even MSNBC--to the level of slant on FOX "News".
