Taking away the moral issue, I don't think the gov. should fund them in the first place. They are competing against private business and they are given an unfair advantage. Same with funding for public radio/television- public vs private.
ReplyDeleteIf the women who are poor, they can get a grant from the gov. and go to where ever clinic they would like.
As a staunch conservative, I think we should stop any form of birth control. By the way, I also believe the U.S. should attempt to become more like Bangladesh. Lots of poor people and cheap labor to exploit.
ReplyDeleteAbortion is most certainly not my issue, but I AM aware that it is already illegal for taxpayer money to fund abortion (which let's not forget, is a LEGAL procedure). So, the only reason to defund Planned Parenthood would be if the funds were channeled into abortion services. Unless they are very stupid, they likely have explicit accounting on that one. Abortion only accounts for a part of what PP does.
