Ron Paul Wins CPAC Straw Poll for 2012 Presidential Election

Didn't this happen last time? And didn't the Republican Establishment do everything they could to ignore Ron Paul? For as lock-steppy as Republicans can be sometimes, they can also be incredibly fractured. There's a big group of Paulites (Paulines?), a chunk of Sarah Palin loyalists (fetishists?), Mitt Romney followers (Mormons?) and a bunch of much smaller factions. Tim Pawlenty is trying to change his milquetoasty rep into that of a hard line conservative (and wasn't entirely successful). The election is 20 months away, and I'm sure it will be in full swing soon enough--and feel never ending--but doesn't it seem like the GOP is staggering out of the gate?  In any event, the CPAC news will have no effect on the outcome.
