Government Shutdown Averted. . .For Now

Though he drug his big orange feet, in the eleventh hour, John Boner Boehner acquiesced to the Democrats' "compromise," and for now, the government will not be shut down. And I'm focusing on Boehner here, because supposedly many Americans aren't familiar with this crying doofus's face. HERE it is! The fact that the holdup here was a bunch of "riders" mostly focused on stupid things like "federal funding for abortion"--which is already illegal--was proof that this was never an honest discussion in the first place. Nobody comes up smelling like a rose here, the fight isn't over, and this is all pretty sickening, I don't care who you are. But whatev's yall, hopefully this won't delay my tax refund. Selfish, yes. But we peons have shouldered enough of our share of the burden. We deserve to feel a little selfish.
