Donald Trump's Birther Fantasies

Yet another debunk of a birther claim, pix of the Prez as a kid.

On Thursday's The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell, they ran a recap and response to Donald Trump's "Birther" extravaganza on the Today show with Meredith Viera. Sadly, Viera--either stunned by Trump's brashness, or just uninterested enough to blast him--sadly didn't attempt to refute Trump's claims.

Trump was acting as though he was financing a forensic team in Hawaii to uncover "shocking" information about the President, and that he was finding that Obama wasn't born in this country. The problem is, Trump was regurgitating information that has been around on birther blogs for years, and all of which has been refuted. All of it. To the birthers, Trump is becoming a hero. To anyone who has seriously followed the issue, Trump is a gullible dolt OR he's a deliberate liar.

Donald Trump told the NBC Today Show’s Meridith Vieira this morning that  he has people on the ground in Hawaii looking into Obama’s origins and that we wouldn’t believe what they are finding out. Apparently his team has been digging deeply into old birther blogs because that was what Trump was repeating today. . .
