Once again, I'm wandering into news territory that is unfamiliar. It's a big news story, one that has (once again) started a left-right battle in the blogosphere over why Admiral Fallon is stepping down from Centcom. But see, I had to look up this article on Wikipedia just to learn what the heck Centcom is. So rather than try to fake it, I'll go right on to the excerpt, and read along with you.

Navy Adm. William Fallon, the head of U.S. Central Command, which leads U.S. operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, is stepping down, Defense Secretary Robert Gates announced Tuesday.
