It's interesting to speculate what FOX "News" would do if Democrats take control of the Presidency and/or one or both houses of Congress (I'm guessing three out of three) in November. Intelligent and honest people all know that FOX "News" is a propagandistic, right-wing commentary station, not a legitimate news outlet. Their bread and butter is happy-talk and spin from a hard right-wing slant about the news of the day. "Democrat Party" [sic] = bad, Republican Party = God's chosen party = good.
But lest we forget, FOX "News" was born during the Clinton presidency. Sure it lost countless millions for years, not gaining a solid foothold until The Decider was thrust upon us, but they managed to hone their message in a "hostile" environment. Rush Limbaugh and his inferior (can you imagine being inferior to Rush?) wanna-bes also thrived during Clinton's reign. He gleefully joined in on the "vast right-wing conspiracy," pushing ridiculous conspiracy theories about Vince Foster and "troopergate."
So I believe FOX "News" will weather a Democratic government. Hopefully, however, they'll be pushed to the fringe margins, where they belong, in the public's eyes. Does anybody remember that the fringe is where Rush Limbaugh (and people like Ann Coulter, Pat Buchanan, etc.) used to inhabit? These are not mainstream opinion holders, and they need to be slotted in the public consciousness where they truly are.

Before we write off Fox News…
Most political observers, regardless of ideology, assume that there will be a Democratic House and Senate next year. It’s too soon to know what to expect from the presidential race, but it’s hardly a stretch to think that come January 2009, there will be a Democratic White House and a Democratic Congress for the first time in 16 years.
Given this landscape, what’s Fox News to do? . . .
