I'm a fan of Countdown with Keith Olbermann, and have run into several. . .um. . .non-fans who deride the program for its lack of dissenting views. These people--who in the same breath will froth at the mouth about the "fairness doctrine"--think that Olbermann is a coward for not having guests who disagree with him. Not that it would matter, because these people would still hate Olbermann regardless.
But, boy oh boy, is there a forum out there that will make these Olbermann-haters delirious, if their argument is genuine. A series of events called "The Minds that Move the World" is hitting the road, with a stellar lineup of political punditry, with someone for everyone to love and/or hate. People like Bill Maher (love!), Ann Coulter (hate!), Anderson Cooper (looooove!) and Karl Rove (forget it, there simply aren't strong enough words for this one).
Other names involved in the events are Arianna Huffington, DL Hughley, Mike Huckabee, Janet Reno, Alberto Gonzales, John Ashcroft, Charlie Rose and James Carville. Some lineup, huh? Now, if only we had some Federal agents with orange jumpsuits and shackles waiting out back for Rove and Gonzales, it would really be an event!
