Keith Olbermann's Special Comment on Stupidity!

I've been hammering on this topic on the blog for many weeks now, and it is great to see the issue getting some mainstream attention. On Sunday's Meet the Press, Thomas Friedman railed about the faux-controversy of President Obama's "stay in school" speech as "flat out stupid!" I practically jumped for joy, though I'd add an equal dollop of crazy.

The fact of the matter is, the mainstream Republican Party has let their crazy wing nut base set the agenda. Their fringe leaders like Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are now at the top of the list. The actual leaders and elected officials are now heard to echo their crazy/stupid base, as we heard when Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) shouted "You lie!" at the President in the Congressional chamber last night.
