I think that the few times a year where presidents are expected to cut up with celebrities and journalists can often times feel forced and phony. Sometimes, they feel downright out of place with the events going on in the world. This year's speech by President Obama was very nearly pitch perfect. Some self deprecation, some deserved ribbing of Donald Trump and the birther non-troversy, a fairly amusing faux movie clip, and some seriousness at the end. And of course, a zinger aimed at FOX "News." Loved it.
