I'm excited about a potential Democratic Presidential win in November, whether it be Hillary, Barack or John. But, jumpin' jimminy, whoever it is, is going to have a hell of a clean-up job. If this story is true, and if a recession is here to stay for a while, it is up to the blogosphere to get the word out that this started on Bush's watch.
Before you think that's cynically partisan, remember that when we had our last recession, it was blamed on Bill Clinton, even though it started after Bush took office.

The U.S. economy has landed in recession, according to an economist at brokerage firm Merrill Lynch.
David Rosenberg, Merrill Lynch's chief North American economist, said Friday’s employment report — which showed the U.S. jobless rate jumped to a two-year high of five per cent in December on weaker-than-expected job creation — "strongly suggests that an official recession has arrived."
