Top Democrats Banding Together to End Primary?

Would that it were true. It's nice that they're making a show of it, but I think it's going to take more than a strongly worded letter to get Hillary Clinton (or Barack Obama) to drop out of the race. I'm afraid nothing short of a hideous gaffe by one of them will cause that, unless one of the upcoming primaries has a real surprise in store.

Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid took his comments about the state of the Democratic primary one step further today, suggesting that he and other prominent Democrats would intervene in the race if primary season concludes without a clear winner:
