Of all the stupid "issues" out there with which Barack Obama has been assailed, the dumbest, most ridiculous one is the issue of the flag pin. Barack Obama usually doesn't wear one, and explained that he believes you can be patriotic without it, and that such symbols are sometimes used by people as a substitute for true patriotism. I would add to that, that most of them are probably made in China, but hey, that's just me.
I have noticed, since this non-issue keeps coming up, that seldom do the people arguing the point actually have a flag lapel pin on themselves. Though I'm sure Bill O'Reilly has a hidden piercing somewhere on his person bearing old glory. Hannity probably has it tattooed on his butt.
