Magna Carta Bought by Carlyle Group?

Does anyone else find this just a little bit creepy? The Magna Carta (or at least one of the few original copies) was sold--by Ross Perot--to the founder of the Carlyle Group. If you don't find that creepy, just click the link. 'Nuff Said.

This Magna Carta to Remain in U.S.

The man who just paid $21.3 million for a 710-year-old copy of the Magna Carta, the English document that helped establish the rights of man and lay the framework for the Constitution, says he wants to keep the copy on display in the United States.

The document, one of only 17 in existence, was bought at auction at Sotheby’s on Tuesday night by David M. Rubenstein, a Washington lawyer and a founder of the Carlyle Group, a large private equity firm. . .
