Rush Lashes Out at Newt

OK, first, what's the deal with two nearly senior-citizen, prominent men with names like "Rush" and "Newt?" We need to get Mitt in on this action!

Anyway, in chapter 117 of a never-ending saga, Newt Gingrich said something this weekend on Meet the Press that was mildly critical of Rush Limbaugh. Monday rolls around, and the Limbaugh cannons are loaded! Newt gets his. Now, will Gingrich attempt to get his rolly-polly self down on one knee, and kiss Limbaugh's doughy ass? And hey, that's another thing. What's with the corpulence of the GOP's elder statesmen, anyway?

So, funny names, check. Tubby physiques, check. Three wives apiece, check. What else do these guys have in common?

Rush whacks Newt: 'He wishes they were running TV ads against him'

Rush Limbaugh responded to Newt Gingrich's shot at him with a broadside at the former speaker on today's show.

"I'm frankly getting tired of talking about Newt. I mean, it's a pointless exercise," Limbaugh said of Gingrich's dismissal of him on "Meet the Press." "I'm surprised by nothing when I'm dealing with people in the media who think they're in politics. . .

Pot, meet kettle.
