Bush Vetoes Again: Health and Education Bill

Yeah! 'Cause we don't need no education! Or, as Bush might put it, edjumication. We also apparently don't need health care (especially if you're poor or nearly so), or water projects, not to mention stem-cell research. The only thing worth spending money on is war, I guess.

Oh yeah, and I'm getting really sick of those backgrounds he's always standing in front of, with the theme of his speeches written all over them. Am I the only one who thinks he looks like a kid in front of his science fair booth?

Bush vetoes health and education bill

President Bush, escalating his budget battle with Congress, on Tuesday vetoed a spending measure for health and education programs prized by congressional Democrats.

He also signed a big increase in the Pentagon's non-war budget although the White House complained it contained "some unnecessary spending."
