It only took me 5 minutes of perusing the news online to decide that the end is near. That's right folks, God is wrapping things up about now. The show is over and if you have any perception at all, you've realized the credits are running and the fat lady (an American most likely) is taking the stage.
Think of it all as a big stage production (this is easier if you are gay). And about now God (the director of course) is looking out at the audience and the performers with disgust and saying "Shit, they're not even trying anymore. . .what the hell, bring the curtain down". And who could blame him? It seems as if we are trying to kill ourselves off, well that's not exactly right, it's more like we are goading an enraged bull, or poking a hornet's nest (which I have seen by the way and every aspect of a hornet's nest says turn around and "Run Forest Run".
So, whether it's the warming of the earth, pollution, the new killer viruses, the dollar's descent into the basement, Iraq, Iran, lack of health care, our borders, terrorism, Bush, Cheney, or anything else you are afflicted with just remember that the end is nigh.
So, if you believe in Revelation (which I don't) you should start getting ready to head out or be left behind, your choice. Either way, stop saving money to your 401-K and have some fun. If things get worse before they get better a few thousand bucks in your savings account won't mean shit. You are going to need a big mean dog, a gun or two, some provisions and a little military training. Since Jamie and I have none of those I guess we will be some of the first to go, which isn't so bad as I have a lot of reading to catch up on.
