This long-form Barack Obama ad does more for me than prove that Obama is indeed "Ready to Lead." It almost makes me want to get down on my knees and beg to the hard-line red staters out there, and say "Can we PLEASE have a smart, well-spoken, WORTHY President this time?"
George W. Bush could not hope to do an ad like this without sounding scripted, smarmy, bored or all three. John McCain couldn't do so without lulling us to sleep. There is more to being President than being a good speaker and being charismatic, I realize that. And Obama seems to be showing that here in this ad.
