Oh, for crying out loud. You can always count on FOX "News" to supply plenty of faux outrage (and to turn that faux outrage into actual outrage). But have we really come to this? Some school official somewhere in America has withdrawn Lee Greenwood's treacly God Bless the USA from contention for a kindergarten graduation. The horror!

Since when is this cloying song some kind of sacred piece of Americana? Since when is some otherwise unknown school newsworthy? Is there nothing else to bitch about, really?

Bill O’Reilly added to the Fox News pile on against the Brooklyn principal who decided to pull Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the U.S.A.” from her school’s kindergarten graduation. Rather than do any real investigation into the reasons for the decision, O’Reilly announced, “This woman obviously doesn’t like the country, that’s what I think.” Later, he said he’d send ambush producer Jesse Watters to the graduation if she didn’t explain her decision. Never mind that she already has. . .
