The Trickle Becomes a Flood: All About Sarah Palin

Photo from source, Think Progress

There is a very strange thing happening right now regarding Sarah Palin. Initially, rumors from Alaska that predated her nomination began swirling, and overtook the John McCain campaign. They were rumors about her family, and her children initially. Quite rightly--and contrary to the way it has been portrayed by the right--many bloggers and even the mainstream press was reluctant to say much, if anything about the rumors. Others did, and I understood their interest in the story, because there was much that didn't add up. I did allude to them here, but did not dwell on them at all.

Then, the McCain campaign surprised everybody by announcing that Palin's daughter was pregnant. Over the last several days, more and more revelations have come to light about Palin's history, and the "baby-gate" issue was just the rumor that got the ball rolling. And the McCain campaign is acting like an issue that they've shone the spotlight on, is all that the "mean" mainstream press is focusing on.

But they're not. And here's what I'm talking about. . .
