Since we spent the day at a friend's house for Labor Day, I haven't had any time to post to the blog. Sorry 'bout that! I mean, what with a hurricane, a devastated Republican National Convention, and Sarah Palin's "baby-gate," there's even been more to talk about than usual for a holiday.
Those stories are probably already well covered everywhere else. So here's something interesting. Frank Luntz, one of the creators of buzzwords for the Republican Party, ran one of his focus groups on the selection of Sarah Palin as John McCain's running mate. Luntz is a master of leading questions, and manipulation. Stephen Colbert's word "truthiness" could easily have been invented for Frank.
But even he couldn't get a roomful of people jazzed about McCain's pick. If you're a political junkie like me, you might find it entertaining.
